Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to invite you to attend the "15th International Meeting on Frankia and Actinorhizal Plants ", that will be held in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche (shortly named as Bariloche), Argentina, during October 19-23, 2008.

This series of meetings is a real forum for scientists and students to discuss issues about advances in our knowledge on biology of actinorhizal symbiosis. At this edition we hope to be attending to multidisciplinary approaches displayed by different international researchers. Hopefully, the presentations will cover a wide spectrum, ranging from ecology, forestry, soil use, antibiotic and other metabolites production, to microbiology, plant physiology and molecular biology with its most modern disciplines: genomics, functional genomics, proteomics and metabolomics.

Coming to Bariloche you will experience the North West Patagonia, a unique place in the world.
We hope that the scenario of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and the visit to Patagonia landscapes, where actinorhizal symbiosis occurs, will stimulate our minds and hopefully new collaborations between participants will start here.

Welcome to the Meeting, Welcome to Bariloche, Welcome to Argentina.

Eugenia Chaia and Luis Wall
